Lucky Dog

This is my first try at posting an animated gif file–I hope it works!  The big brindle dog you may recognize as Roman, who is now living in Washington with my folks–the black one is Shadow and the tan one is Pudding–the smaller black and brown one is Two-toe, who is set to fly off to Vancouver, along with eight others (!!) this coming Wednesday.  It’s a costly mission but they’re all going to good homes–people who have come to understand that rescuing a stray is far better than buying a puppy from a pet store.  (Sorry pet stores, and sorry pups, but it’s the truth.) 

We’re grateful for any donations that come in to help us pull this off.  We’re also sending a very cool and laid back doberman pinscher to a Los Angeles doberman rescue sanctuary in the beginning of October.  He showed up in my neighborhood and Jon, another shelter volunteer, said if we didn’t take him up to our shelter he was bound to get picked up and taken to the govt. pound.  As it turned out, Johanna of tuapa, who is so incredibly helpful to us up here (the nine dogs this Wednesday is thanks to her and her husband Joey!!), was able to arrange to have the doberman sent to LA.

So, good news coming off the hilltop.  Please get in touch if you can afford to spare a little–we could really use it!  Now let’s see if this gif file works…….
