Sarque (pronounced Sark) is THE most gentle, obedient, quiet dog I have met in my entire life. Since I am getting old AND I’ve met a lot of dogs, that’s really saying something.

About 5 months ago he got sick from a tick-borne disease (canine erlichaea) and needed medication twice daily, so to my apartment he came. I was expecting chewed sofas and pee on chair legs, but none of that happened. He is a dream dog.

He has now made a full recovery, but since he’s so good I don’t have the heart to return him to the shelter. I want to keep him but I’m not sure if I can take him with me when I leave Taiwan, so he is still adoptable, but only for the RIGHT person.

He needs a loving home, and a little exercise,  but not too much. When he was a puppy he had malnutrition and the bones of his feet are slightly deformed: they bend out at the sides like flippers. A 15-20 minute medium speed walk is good,  but the hour long ones we go on sometimes are too much for him.

He gets along very well with ALL people, ALL dogs, and he is a little afraid of my cat. But so am I. He loves attention but never acts needy, and is quite content to lay around all day.

    Hi there!

I live in Canada, but fell in love with the photo and description of this dog a week or two ago. I thought I’d take some time to think about it. He is still on my mind and I am wondering if he still needs a home and if there is even any way I could get him here?

    Please let me know :)
