The first day I met Samson our relationship was established. He and another dog were scrapping over food, and like an idiot I put my hand out to push them apart. Samson bit my arm by accident, and although he didn’t do any real damage I shouted and yelled at him for a good 5 minutes and then ignored him. He spent the rest of the day following me about with his head bowed: his way of telling me he was sorry. Then when I finally gave in and petted him he showed me just what a lover he really was.
That was 16 months ago, and I have never known him to bite again–not a person or a dog. He has, however, been a loyal and loving little beast! He’s one of my favourites and I would have brought him home had I not already had a houseful. He doesn’t bark or act aggressive with the other dogs, he loves everyone who comes to visit, and he sticks close by when we are out for walks.
He does, unfortunately have one very annoying habit: he’s a bit over amorous with people’s legs, if you know what I mean. He lacks the manly equipment to derive any enjoyment from it, but he still tries. A quick knee to his chest and he gives up, though. At least for another week or so.
