Muffin
female-spayed
16kg
vaccinated 08/08
Muffin is a smart girl. She knows when we want to give her a flea treatment or any kind of medicine, and immediately becomes impossible to catch! But if we are just chilling out by the fire or hangin’ in the house, she comes round for some lovin’.
With the other dogs, she is very choosy about her friends: she loves some and is sweet as pie, but bullies others for no reason. Now that I think about it, she is only mean to the females, and very nice to the males. Like some other females I have met. Hmmmnnn.
When it comes to people, she barks at any newcomers (one volunteer nicknamed her “Spook”) and keeps her distance, but once she knows they belong at the shelter she quiets down and comes around. She loves her freedom and needs a home with room to roam. If she’s caged up she becomes quite anxious.

Sad news about Muffin. In July she was found dead at the shelter and is now buried there near the bamboo grove. Possibly she ate something poisonous, possibly a snake, we’ll never know for sure. She would’ve been a tough dog to find a home for, but we miss her a lot and wish she were still around.
