Roman is a BIG baby! We all love him so much. His head is as big as mine and he comes up to my hips when he stands beside me, yet he thinks he’s a puppy and tries to snuggle onto our laps whenever he can.

He had some training and knows some commands, although only Chinese ones! He’s smart, so could easily learn commands in any language if someone taught him. When he displeases me I simply growl at him and that stops him in his tracks.

This boy has tons of energy and needs a place where he can run.  Considering his size, he will be quite expensive to ship overseas, but we have been unable to find any takers for him here so are willing to foot the bill if the right home becomes available. He’s very precious to us and we are determined to find him a good life somewhere.

He’s great with all people and all other dogs. Taiwanese people are afraid when he goes bounding up to them,  but he really is a harmless gentle giant.

There is one drawback, however: if he has an injury he becomes quite cantankerous and refuses to let us treat it, so it’s necessary to seek a veterinarian in such cases. Unless you are a professional wrestler perhaps.

Roman is set to be adopted by my mom and sister. (Two different people, in case you’re wondering!) We’ve got a possible flight to Seattle in a few weeks, so this could be it for one of the shelter superstars!

So is Roman in Seattle? Can I go and visit?

  3. Chris says:

Almost. He’ll be coming over with me in July. How’s July for a visit?

It’s fun having Roman here in Leavenworth, Washington! He is so good with our kids! We have 4 children and they all adore Roman. My two year old daughter gives him hugs any chance she gets…Roman loves the attention.
